Sleep like a dog!

Recently I came across a game that looks like it may just have been made by myself, everything I love in a game is in this one, for example, it has a great mafia story that takes place in Hong Kong, so you can go to the main city or you can go through ancient Chinese towns, which is something I have always been interested in. Also the story is about the triads, and I love me some gangs. It has awesome free flow combat, which means it will slow down and speed up throughout the fight scene, and last but not least the car driving is made by the people who are responsible for need for speed.

This game is something I have really been looking for and now I just cant wait to start playing it, It comes out in August and I don't know how I will be able to wait that long for this game.

Horrible Teammates

Recently while playing Halo: Reach, I got the great pleasure of being teamed up with what I assume to be 6 year olds. There is nothing quite like being paired up with a team who either are not playing or do not know how to play. Each match generally goes to 50, and has a time limit of 15 minutes. So many times I have started a match only to find out that all 3 of my teammates, must have gone to use the bathroom or eat supper, because they are all just idle and getting killed left and right. So you have to try and make up for their loss, only to be mowed down by all 4 of the other team. Sometimes you can get lucky and rack up some kills while they are off by themselves, but other than that you might as well give up. Also when you do have teammates, but they refuse to turn their mic off, so they just talk about sleeping with other players mothers, or scream "RUBY TUESDAY!" every time they kill someone. My advice to anybody playing Halo is to go offline if you are going to have to leave soon, or play the campaign first before online, so that you don't suck and let your team down.

The Witcher 2

Recently I have been playing alot of The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. So far I have approximately 52 hours sunk into it and there is no end in sight, if I were to say one thing about this game I would say it is hard as hell. The gameplay is quite unforgiving, you make one wrong move and you are dead, also the autosave function is horrible, you have to save your progress regularly or get used to starting over very far back. Also the quest are very hard because instead of giving you a detailed description of what to do and where to go, it basically just says you have to do something somewhere, but there are no indications of what and where. All of this sounds like I am running the game into the ground, but actually I am quite fond of this and I like the way it all is, because nowadays games are too easy, like in fable whatever quest you are on there is a glowing trail to follow that leads you right to where you are supposed to go. But this game you actually have to be able to read quest lines and character biography's, this all makes for a much more rewarding conclusion to each quest. Every time you complete a quest or take out that boss you thought impossible, you want to jump up for joy and give yourself a nice pat on the back. This is why this game keeps bringing you back so that you can eventually feel that feeling.

Dishonored

Recently while scrolling the web, I came across something that made me very excited. Bethesda the company behind Skyrim, and Arkane Studios, the company behind Dark Messiah, are working together on a new project. The Project they are working on is called Dishonored. The game seems to be set in the 18th century, from what the trailer has to show you are a prisoner wrongly accused of the murder of the empress, you are given a power by a mysterious figure, and you go about being an assassin to get revenge. I believe that the whole game will revolve around the theme of revenge because at the end of the trailer it says "Revenge is Everything". I am very excited for this game because it is rumored to have the enormity of skyrim, while having different gameplay and being set in a sci fi type universe.

I also checked out the website and this is the summary that they have for the game: "You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is being besieged by plague and ruled by an oppressive government armed with neo-industrial technologies, dark forces conspire to bestow upon you, abilities beyond those of any common man – but at what cost? The truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city, and the life you once had is gone forever"

Mass Effect 3 Update

Well its over, the end of the epic trilogy from Bioware has come. The whole experience to me was breathtaking, and one emotional ride. The game went back to some of the main points that were introduced way back in the first game. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly captivated by a game and I was sad when it came to an end. I had come to love all of the characters and I do not want to see the series end...but as with all things in life all good things must come to an end, and so has the epic trilogy known as Mass Effect.

But I will not let this get to me, in my head I will keep on believing that there will be another Mass Effect and that if I can gather the patience I will be rewarded with more. There may still be hope.

Childhood Memories

Growing up in the late 90's was a miraculous time to be a kid, all the best cartoons, the best music and the best food, but most all the best part of the 90's were the games. My brother and I would sit in my room for hours playing the Super Nintendo. There were many games growing up that I share a deep personal connection to but my favourite one was a game called Killer Instinct. Killer Instinct was a fighting game released for the Super Nintendo in August 1995. The game was hailed the number 1 fighter of 1995, and was the fan favourite as well.

My fondest memories of the game are of my brother getting so frustrated because he would try and use all the combos while I would just button mash and end up beating him every time or do something that he tried for hours to do. A couple of months ago I was thinking back about my childhood and remembered that glorious game. I remembered that I still had my Super Nintendo up in my attic, so I ran up to the attic dug it out and hooked it up to my t.v. I called up some friends and we had some tournaments playing a game from the 90's. When a game that old can still be as fun as any other game than you know that it is truly a great game and it has earned its place among the best games of all time.

Mass Effect 3 review..reviewed

My life forever changed on March 6th 2012, the epic trilogy known as Mass Effect came to an end. This was one of the most anticipated games for years. with such great anticipation there was alot of expectations and im glad to say that Mass Effect 3 exceeded all expectations. Gameinformer is possibly the most trusted game website on the Internet, because they do no favors giving games a high score, they tell the truth and hold nothing back. Andrew Reiner of Gameinformer gave a perfect review of the game giving it a 10/10. He speaks of how during this game it really gets to you and your emotions will go crazy because of the thrilling campaign. "This dark tale wraps up all of the trilogy’s loose ends and delivers one of the most powerful video games experiences to date". This last quote basically sums up the whole review. I would definitely recommend this game to any living person that has ever played a video game, but in my own personal opinion you should go back and play the first two first.
